The holidays are certainly a time of joy, family, friends, merriment and celebration. Along with all the fun, the holidays can be a time of stress, or even sadness. For a long time I equated the holidays with the death of my grandpa. It took me years to work through that. Thinking about diets and restriction, self-loathing and negative self-talk only adds to any stress or sadness that may be a part of the holiday season. Today I talk about my top tips for making your holidays a bit more intuitive, with a focus on self-care, nourishment and self-compassion.
